Pa. man charged with unlawful entry after falling asleep in House office building

A Pennsylvania man is due in court next month on charges of unlawful entry after he entered an unlocked office in the Cannon House Office Building and fell asleep.

John Taddei, 47, of Ardmore, Pa. was charged with misdemeanor unlawful entry in the Nov. 22 incident. According to D.C. Superior Court charging documents, Taddei was found by police around 6:26 a.m. after police received a call about a man inside one of the unlocked Office Buildings committee rooms. When police arrived, they found Taddei with his luggage and a map of the District. He told officers he arrived in Washington by train three days earlier.
