Dallas Clayton Goedert is a well-known American football tight end who currently plays in the National Football League (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles. Clayton was selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft after playing college football at South Dakota State.

Goedert was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2018 NFL Draft in the second round, 49th overall. In order to draft Goedert in the second round, the Philadelphia Eagles traded their second (52nd overall) and fifth (169th overall) picks to the Indianapolis Colts.

Critics of the draft suggested that the Dallas Cowboys would likely select Goedert because they needed a tight end after Jason Witten and James Hanna retired.
